In a major development for lakhs of aspirants across India, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Constable Answer Key 2026 on June 15, 2026, on the official website at ssc.gov.in.

The provisional answer key has been released along with the response sheet and question papers. An answer key objection window has also been opened by the authority from June 15 to June 20, 2026.

About the Exam

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC GD 2026 exam from April 27 to May 30 in four phases. The recruitment is for the post of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Candidates can access their response sheets using their login credentials — their roll number (mentioned on the admit card) and password. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on the “Answer Key” tab at the top of the page
  3. Find and open the notification for the Constable (GD) 2026 Tentative Answer Keys
  4. Log in using your Registration Number/Roll Number and Password

How to Calculate Your Score

Candidates can estimate their scores using the official marking scheme prescribed by SSC. The expected score formula is: Total Score = (Correct Answers × 2) − (Wrong Answers × 0.25)

Objection Window — Challenge Wrong Answers

SSC has activated the objection window from June 15 to June 20, 2026. Candidates who find any error in the provisional answer key can challenge it online within the given deadline. A fee of ₹50 per question is required to raise objections.

Once SSC has reviewed all the objections, it will release the SSC GD Final Answer Key 2026, which will be followed by the SSC GD result.

Normalisation Process

Since the SSC GD exam was conducted in multiple shifts, SSC applies a normalisation process. As the difficulty level of question papers may vary across shifts, marks are normalised using a statistical formula to ensure fair evaluation of all candidates before results and cut-offs are prepared.
